How do you train for that? There are no American wrestlers who can prepare Metcalf or anyone else in the US for that kind of onslaught. The only two guys we've ever had on an Olympic team who I can recall wrestling like that are Randy Lewis and Kendall Cross. I applaud Metcalf for recognizing the opportunity to get exposure to this kind of competition. Let's hope he can keep facing this type of style so he can learn to make some adjustments this year.

Know your opponent, know that he is a lot better than you, shut down, hope for a ball grab, hope you win the ball grab, and be very good at ball grab offense. But this guy probably likes to lose the ball grab. He is a very slick defensive hippy wrestler.

so the question needs to be asked, if Metcalf did so well in Yarygin, why is not building off this? I see his name is not entered on any of the next 3 int'l competions in which we are sending a LOT of athletes. Is he hurt?
