Welcome wrestling fans, friends, and enemies, to the 3rd Annual Abbas Jadidi Photoshop Tournament (aka AJPT).
For those of you new to this forum let me fill you in on how the AJP Tourney came into being. For many years our fellow poster, DF, relentlessly strove to show us the greatness of World Champion, Abbas Jadidi. Through countless posts on numerous threads, DF persistently pointed out how Jadidi got robbed of the gold medal at the '96 Olympics, and how the Iranian became the epitome of Anti Heroes as he argued with judges and raised his own arm when the ref declared the winner....as boos rained down upon him.
Hence was born a new art form, the Jadidi photoshop. Here at Medicine_Man Enterprises, my staff bickered constantly as to which Jad photoshop was the best, until they persuaded me to hold a tournament, to let you decide which was the best.
DF has since retired from the forums Goodbye, it was fun . Many of us will miss his creatively redundant posts....and some will not. He has promised to check in on occasion to peruse certain threads, and he never promised not to vote by PM.
Every year someone is allowed a double vote, and that will be determined this year by whomever most accurately predicts the outcome score of the first match. And every year someone is not allowed to vote. This year Wire will not be allowed to vote, ruled off, based on his complete and utter shunning of last year's AJPT.
The rules are simple, 8 votes to win a match. (11votes to win the finals match). The 96 hour rule is in effect for all but the final, meaning voting closes after 96 hours, leader at that time wins by default.....unless there is a tie at 96 hrs, in which case automatic overtime comes into play and the next chronological vote will decide the winner.
I greatly appreciate those of you who take the time to participate, and hope that each of you can get some laughs, as laughter is the best medicine.
Inga's sister, Elin, will be our first referee.
